Google to develop entry level smartphone with Indian company Reliance

The American internet giant Google and the Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries will develop an “entry-level and cheap smartphone” in India to provide easy internet access to the 1.3 billion inhabitants of the country, have- They each announced Wednesday.

 

A few minutes earlier, the Indian group had announced an investment by Google of 4.5 billion dollars in Jio Platforms, its digital subsidiary, for a stake of 7.7%. The smartphone resulting from this partnership will operate from the Android operating system.
