Canada “intends” to recognize the State of Palestine in September at the UN

Canada intends to recognize the State of Palestine at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025," Mark Carney said at a press conference, while France and the United Kingdom recently announced their intention to recognize the State of Palestine.
In Belgium, Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot has indicated that he will make a proposal to the government in September on the recognition of Palestine, ahead of the United Nations General Assembly.
