Marvel stuntman Taraja Ramsess loses her life with three of her children

Eva Deschamps / November 26, 2023

Known for his work on the "Avengers" saga and the two "Black Panther" films, 41-year-old professional stuntman Taraja Ramsess died this October 31, along with three of his children, in a terrible car accident. Shortly after 11 p.m., Taraja Ramsess and her five children collided with a disabled semi-truck parked on the exit of an expressway in the state of Georgia.

It was the stuntman's mother, Akili Ramsess, a photojournalist, who announced her son's death on instagram: "My tender, beautiful and talented son Taraja, and two of my grandchildren - his 13-year-old daughter, Sundari, and her 8-week-old newborn, Fujibo - were killed last night in a horrific car accident". The third child, her son Kisasi, 10, died on November 4 after succumbing to his injuries. According to the authorities, her two other daughters survived the collision.

It was a colleague of Akili Ramsess who launched a fund to help the family financially through this tragic ordeal. In three days, over $76,000 was raised, including $5,000 from director and producer Ava DuVernay.
