Matthew Perry, who played Chandler in the cult series "Friends", has been found dead

Actor Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom "Friends", was found dead in his home at the age of 54, US media reported on Saturday.
 
According to the Los Angeles Times, the actor was found dead in his bathtub at his Los Angeles home.   No signs of foul play were found, according to unnamed sources cited by the same newspaper and the specialized media TMZ, which first reported the death.
 
Matthew Perry was best known for his humorous role as Chandler Bing in the ultra-popular NBC series "Friends", which ran for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004. The actor had struggled for years with his addiction to painkillers and alcohol, and had attended rehab clinics on several occasions.
 
In a recent TV appearance, Perry had surprised audiences by admitting to suffering from severe anxiety "every night" while filming "Friends". According to TMZ, no drugs were found at the scene of the actor's death on Saturday.
 
In addition to "Friends", Perry has appeared in films such as "Fools Rush In" and "The Whole Nine Yards ».
