Caroline, 20 years old, was tortured and murdered in front of her baby: a few weeks earlier, she published a touching video with her little girl!

This Tuesday very early in the morning, three intruders broke into a house located in the suburbs of Athens. Charalambos Babis Anagnostopoulos, Caroline Crouch's husband, was tied up while his wife was tortured in front of her baby in another room, reports the Mirror.

Tell us where the money is, or we'll kill the baby, Charalambos told the police. When he managed to undo his bonds around 6 a.m., he found Caroline's body next to her crying 11-month-old baby. The family's dog had also been strangled by the intruders.

The murder of the 20-year-old mother this morning is a heinous crime committed with great ferocity, said a Greek police spokesman. Such barbarity is rare in our country.

In a video posted on her Instagram before this tragedy, Caroline is seen playing with her baby girl on a beach. She lifts the little one in the air and kisses her, the baby smiling at her mother. A few weeks later, everything turned into a nightmare for this family.

The intruders allegedly broke in through a basement window around 5:00 a.m. They then shot the dog when it started barking. They then grabbed Charalambos, gagged him and handcuffed him with a rope, before using a T-shirt to tie Caroline up.

The gang took 15,000 euros in cash and the equivalent in jewelry.

The Greek authorities took the decision to offer the reward of nearly 300,000 euros to anyone who provides data and information about the ongoing investigations, leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of the theft and murder committed.

Caroline's British parents had moved to the idyllic Greek vacation island of Alonnisos when she was still young. It was there that she met Charalambos.
