Invasion of the Capitol: to find the invaders, search notices at the bus stops

 Steph Deschamps / January 10, 2021

Four days after the violence that plunged Capitol Hill into mourning and shook America, the American authorities are continuing their investigations in order to find the perpetrators. Three of the pro-Trump protesters whose photos have traveled around the world since their violent intrusion into the Capitol on Wednesday were arrested and charged, the Justice Department announced Saturday.

On Friday, the ministry had already announced 13 charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct, and the arrest in Arkansas of Richard Barnett, a pro-gun activist photographed with his foot on Nancy Pelosi's desk. Before leaving, he left an insulting note to the Democratic leader in Congress.

The police appealed to the Americans to help them in their hunt. Wanted posters have been posted at bus stops in Washington, D.C., as reported by the American Huffington Post. Rewards are promised to those who help the authorities find the fugitives.

Thousands of pro-President Donald Trump protesters invaded Capitol Hill in Washington on January 6, throwing into confusion the session of Congress that was to confirm Joe Biden's victory in the November 3 presidential election on Wednesday.

Demonstrators broke into the House of Representatives debates, stormed the Capitol Hill terraces and forced the evacuation of the Congressional buildings shortly after Vice President Mike Pence announced that he could not oppose the certification of Biden's victory.

The total toll of violence reached five dead on Friday, after the death of a police officer, injured during the clashes.
