Facebook wants to test a new feature within its application. The social network wants to introduce advertising stickers that users will be able to add to their story in order to be paid.

Facebook is testing a new feature within its application as reported by Geeko. It's an ad sticker that public figures will be able to add to their story to get paid. Content creators (such as influencers, digital publishers, video partners, large and small businesses, gamers, media organizations, cultural institutions and videographers) will be able to add ads to their story in order to be paid, receiving a percentage of the revenue that these ads generate, as Facebook indicates.

We want to allow more people to experience that fun of participating and supporting a creator, and we think that's a relatively new behavior that we want to make more ubiquitous in the app, and we think this is a great way to do that, Yoav Arnstein, head of product management, told The Verge. We think it can also encourage creators to experiment more with the type of content and the type of engagement directly with fans, which will really enable and encourage that kind of direct fan support.

At first, a small number of users will be experimenting with this new feature. But Facebook plans to share its ad stickers to a larger number of users soon. The social network also wants to apply this tool to all short videos offered on the platform.
