Mark Zuckerberg defends Facebook in the face of a whistleblower's serious accusations: It's just not true

Eva Deschamps / October 7, 2021

Facebook co-founder and group boss Mark Zuckerberg defended his company Tuesday in the face of accusations from a whistleblower, who testified before the U.S. Congress that the social networking giant prioritizes its profits over security.

At the heart of these accusations is the idea that we value profits over safety and well-being. This is simply not true, Mark Zuckerberg said in a lengthy post on his Facebook page.

The whistleblower Frances Haugen delivered Tuesday before a parliamentary committee an unprecedented testimony on the practices of Facebook to relentlessly increase its traffic and called on elected officials in the U.S. Congress to act to further regulate the group with 3.5 billion customers.
