Emmanuel Macron traveled to Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, where a history teacher was beheaded after showing his students caricatures of Muhammad.

Emmanuel Macron arrived shortly after 9:00 p.m. at the Bois d´Aulne college in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines), where the beheaded history teacher was teaching in the afternoon, noted an AFP journalist.

The President of the Republic on Friday described the beheading of a teacher as an "Islamist terrorist attack" and assured teachers that the nation would unite against "obscurantism" to "protect and defend them", at the scene of the attack at Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines).

“We will all unite. They will not pass. Obscurantism and the violence that goes with it will not win. They will not divide us. This is what they are looking for and we must all stand together ”, added the Head of State, affirming that“ the whole nation will be there by their side, today and tomorrow to protect them and defend ”.
