A three-year-old girl named Lina was killed in a park in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, after her mother accidentally hit her with a 4x4 on a family member's 18th birthday.

A little girl was fatally run over by her mother's car trying to park. The 3-year-old, known as Lina, ran to meet her mother while she was in the parking lot. She was then run over and rushed to hospital, but the doctors were unable to save her.

This drama caused a scene of chaos in the park in Lucerne County, Pennsylvania, reports a witness. The little girl's family were there to celebrate her aunt's 18th birthday, according to US media WNEP. It is not known at this time the precise circumstances that caused the little girl to escape the supervision of the rest of her family.

Local residents have long expressed concern about the way people drive on the roads leading to this park. They often break the speed limit and ignore a Stop sign. This Sunday, Lina's family gathered at the park to pay tribute to her. An investigation is underway.
