A woman struck by lightning while riding her motorcycle with her husband, her prognosis is vital.

The passenger of a motorcycle was struck by lightning on a road in the Marne region of France on Sunday during a thunderstorm.

A woman in her forties was struck by lightning while riding as a passenger on a motorcycle. The driver was electrocuted. In cardiorespiratory arrest, her prognosis appeared to be life-threatening when emergency services arrived. She resumed cardiac activity, however, and was transported to Saint-Dizier hospital, in a condition still considered very worrying.

The couple were apparently passing through the area. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the accident, although there is no evidence to suggest that it was caused by the elements.
