A teenager has been killed at a school in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The suspected shooter is a 17-year-old student.

A shooting took place at an American high school in Nashville, Tennessee. Two students were hit by gunfire, one of whom died while the other was injured. “The second injured person, also a woman, has what is described as a superficial wound to the arm, and is in stable condition,” said Metro Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron.

The alleged shooter, a student at the school, was 17 years old and later committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. “A 17-year-old student took the bus to Antioch high school this morning. During the morning, this individual went to the cafeteria where he confronted a 16-year-old girl. He hit her and shot her,” explains Nashville Police Chief John Drake.

“I was in the cafeteria when the shots started ringing out,” testifies another student. “I thought it was the people in the cafeteria when they blow up the bags of chips and make a gun noise with them, but when I turned around I saw the shooter. There was a lot of shouting and crying. They were scared to death.

On March 27, 2023, a shooting had already taken place in an elementary school in Nashville. Six people were killed, including three nine-year-olds.
